Borovets - ski & snowboard, equipment hire, lift passes, hotels, transfers

Borovets is the oldest Bulgarian winter resort with a history dating back to the year of 1896! Established at the end of the 19-th century as a hunting place for the Bulgarian kings, Borovets gradually developed into a modern ski resort of high-class and luxury hotels, haute-cuisine restaurants and an excellent network of ski runs and lifts along the slopes of Rila Mountains, providing excellent opportunities for the whole range of winter sports - from Alpine to cross-country skiing, ski jumps and biathlon. The resort twice hosted World Cup Alpine skiing rounds, while the biathlon track is one of the best in the world. The resort features: more than 58km of marked ski runs (longest run is 5,8km) and cross country tracks; some of the ski runs are sound-tracked and lit up by modern lighting systems, allowing for night skiing fun; altitude of the ski runs between 1350 and 2560m with main slopes exposure being North; 2 chair lifts, 1 gondola lift (6-seat), 1 fixed grip quad chair lift, 10 drags and few baby drags; natural snow cover exceeding 2 m in winter; huge variety of accommodations – from cozy pensions and holiday apartments to 4-star hotels.

- All prices are in Euro per person
- Prebooked Kindergarten includes: ski pack /skies, boots, 2 hrs daily group tuition/, lunch, games, sweets, tea; open daily 8:30‐16:40.
- Prebooked Nursery includes: lunch, games, sweets, tea; for children 2‐3.99 years of age; open daily 8:30‐16:40.
- The rates for children are valid for children from 8 to 11.99 years of age.
- * The lift pass price differs during the week days. The highest rates are shown on the table but to check for exact date please start the booking process to confirm the online price.

INSTRUCTION

Reservation and payment
- please complete your reservation online, chosing the first date of skiing and followed by assigning ski/snowboard services to each particular name from your party, your address in Borovets and a phone number of yours just in case
- you will receive an automatic confirmation from our reservation system on the email address used  during the booking process, incl. an invoice (payable by bank transfer or online by credit card via our secure system for online payment (processed by Realex Payments and settled by EMS Card), our booking conditions and ski/snowboard fitting instructions; using the login details in this confirmation email you can access your reservation online anytime if you wish to make amendments, to pay by card, to cancel it etc.
- as soon as we capture the payment, vouchers will be issued and sent to you by email (inside you will have the contact details of our representative, information about where the ski/snowboard fitting will take place etc.); please print them and note the metting time and location mentioned inside
- no photo is needed for the lift passes

Collecting the ski packages
- you can collect your ski packs every day from 08.45 to 09.30 in the lobby of Hotel Samokov, where you will find our representative (note that ski packages cannot be collected any later than 09.30 as ski classes will already be underway and cannot be joined later
- upon presentation of your vouchers you will receive an envelope with your ski packs, which will consist of (depending on your purchased items) lift passes, vouchers for ski/snowboard equipment, ski/snowboard school, ski evening and a customer card; please check if the contents of the envelope correspond to your order and if there are any discrepancies please talk to our rep

Ski fitting & equipment collection
- our representative will direct you to the ski hire shop
- once you go to the ski hire shop choose your boots and give your ski equipment voucher to the staff who will assist you with the ski fitting; in the ski hire shop you will be required to fill in a customer card with your name, hotel, room number and travel agency (Traventuria Ltd.); the bottom part of the customer card is your ticket for the ski/snowboard equipment, so please don’t lose it!!!
- ski, snowboards and boots will be kept in the storage room of the ski depot during the night; Don’t leave your equipment unattended! Please note that stolen equipment has to be paid for even you provide as a substitute someone else’s equipment instead! Lift pass is not replacable or refundable - if you loose it you need to buy a new one on a local price!

Ski & snowboard school
- the meeting point for the ski and snowboard schools is outside the ski hire shop where the instructors will be expecting you; newcomers are assigned in different groups according to their skiing skills until 10:00 every day
- if you intend to join the ski/snowboard school later than normal please speak with the ski teacher the day before and arrange details directly with him/her
