Known as the sunniest and the southernmost ski resort in Europe, Pamporovo enjoys mild winters with a lot of snow and more than 120 sunny days during the season from December to May. It is placed in the Rodopi Mountains, famous for being the birth place of the mythical singer Orpheus. As the oldest mountains in Bulgaria, the Rodopi Mountains are characterized with their rounded hills and slopes, making the resort and the mountains in general perfect for beginners! The rest highlights of the resort include: altitude of the ski runs between 1450 and 1937m with main slopes exposure North, East and West; more than 29 km ski runs (longest run is 4,2km) and 34km long-distance running tracks; total of 25 ski runs; accommodations vary from 5-star hotels to holiday apartments, 3-star family-run hotels, chalets and houses for rent; 6 chair lifts, 13 surface lifts, 1 gondola, few baby drags and probably the best ski school in Europe!

Hotel Orlovets ***** 

Hotel "Orlovets" is the newest 5 star addition to Pamporovo, welcoming guests for the first time during the winter of 2006. This attractively designed hotel is located in the centre of the resort, opposite of hotel "Perelik". The establishment houses 210 beds allocated in 98 dbl rooms and 7 apartments. Each room is equipped with telephone, cable TV, minibar, bathroom with tub, hairdryer, entrance with magnetic cards, individual safe and last but not east superb views towards Rodopi Mountains from the balconies. The hotel itself has excellent amenities including sports centre with swimming pool and fitness centre, ski storage, and SPA offering health and beauty programmes. Alternatively, you could enjoy the traditional and international cuisine in the 100 seater restaurant or relax with a drink in the Panorama Bar or Lobby Bar.

Hotel Perelik ***

Hotel Perelik is located in the very centre of Pamporovo. It is built on seven floors and has 420 beds, allocated in 31 apartments, 9 triple rooms, 164 double rooms and 8 single rooms. The complex has been completely renovated and all rooms are equipped with telephone, cable television and minibar. The excellent range of facilities includes also a swimming pool (25m, 5 corridors), sauna, solarium and fitness hall, a restaurant with various Bulgarian and European cuisine with 450 places, traditional Bulgarian tavern with 120 places, an Italian restaurant with 100 places, 2 night bars, après-ski bar, bar-bowling, bowling hall with 6 tracks, games salon, billiards hall and computer games hall. The hotel is an excellent venue for an enjoyable skiing holiday.
